Position: Stores Operative

Salary: Dependent on experience

Summary of duties/ responsibilities

Full time storeman required for established & expanding aluminium fabrication company based in Bromborough, Wirral.

Due to the continued growth of both JPF Systems and ADC we are now looking to employ an additional Storeman to join our Stores Team.

Duties/ Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the accurate booking in and booking out of all items for stock, and maintaining stock levels
  • To check in all items being delivered to the factory
  • To match delivered items to the items on the delivery note and to then match the delivery note to the purchase order
  • To check the quality of the items being delivered and to highlight any damage / faulty items
  • Where items are missing from deliveries or are damaged / faulty to speak to the supplier to arrange missing or replacement items to be delivered and report the issue to Factory Manager.
  • Where deliveries are overdue chase suppliers that day to confirm when the order will be delivered
  • To pick Production & Site Pick lists and CPF prior to the dates required

Stock Control

  • To maintain suitable stock levels of our commonly used items
  • To ensure that the stock spreadsheets are kept up to date with the correct quantities of each item in stores

Automatic Door Operator Preparation

  • To cut canopies and beams for the ADC sliding operators as detailed on the CPF and prep motors

Health & Safety:

  • Ensure good H&S practices are being followed and that correct PPE is being worn at all times e.g. boots, ear defenders, glasses etc.
  • Comply with all relevant company and departmental Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures at all times and maintain health and safety standards for the workplace and individuals.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources whilst maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.


  • Self-motivation and desire to succeed
  • A flexible attitude to changing demands within the aluminium and auto door business
  • Previous experience within a similar role
  • Strong organisation and time management skills
  • Computer literate, especially with MS Office


  • Experience within the door or aluminium industry
