Since COVID-19 arrived, we understand that people may feel reluctant when calling out a contractor to their place of work. It is perfectly reasonable to feel this way, but we want to reassure you that ADC is going above and beyond to ensure your safety.
LWAYS PREPARED;
- All ADC engineers have been trained in COVID-Safety government guidelines on washing hands, covering the face, and making space.
- We have produced an in-depth COVID specific risk assessment that covers all of our site work, ensuring our engineers are acting in the safest possible way.
- The engineers are supplied with a kit bag which includes; disposable gloves, face masks, visors as well as hand and surface sanitiser to be used throughout the day. These kits are regularly replenished to ensure we are always prepared for site visits.
- Barriers are also provided and will be used to help maintain social distancing measures, where possible.
ILIGENT, AT ALL TIMES;
- ADC engineers are the very best in the industry and they have easily adapted to this more controlled and safer way of working. The message we give to our engineers is; Be safe, even if it takes longer.
- Engineers will use company-supplied anti-bacterial spray and/or wipes to wipe down all surfaces and components before and after use e.g. door handles, keys and switches when on site.
- Engineers will not share tools or pass them between themselves, where this is unavoidable tools should be sanitised and left at a safe distance to be picked up by another engineer.
- Engineers will sign the completed worksheet on the customer’s behalf to prevent cross-contamination. If a signature is required, we will ask the customer to sign a blank document for the engineer to take a picture that will be attached to the job sheet.
AREFUL AND SAFE;
- Having worked on numerous NHS and secured housing sites throughout lockdown, we implemented the highest level of safety measures very early on and we have continued to do so.
- Engineers will only work if feeling well and will be vigilant when recognising symptoms of fever (high temperature) and/or a new, continuous cough. If they feel unwell, they will not come to work and follow the government guidelines on self-isolation. They are to inform a senior manager immediately if they have developed any symptoms or have been in close contact with anyone who is experiencing these symptoms.
- Engineers have been informed to only carry out work on-site if they feel they can do so in a safe manner, according to our safety measures.
- ADC is the safest choice for any reactive call out, maintenance visit, remedial work, or installation that you may have to carry out.
We look forward to seeing you soon.
