Craig Davies

Job Title:

Estimating Manager

Joined ADC in:

May 2005

What are your main responsibilities at ADC?

To oversee all of the ADC Installation departments estimating and look after my own key Installation accounts.

What is your favourite thing about working at ADC?

I enjoy working as part of a team and meeting new clients on some very interesting sites/projects.

If you could switch jobs with someone at ADC for the day, what would you like to do and why?

ADC Engineer so I could gain more information technically and at the same time get away with a cushy number 😉 In all seriousness I have dabbled in various roles in the group so that would improve my skillset.

What are your favourite aspects of your job?

Meeting new clients on site and seeing the project progress through from start (my sales survey) to completion after I’ve done a Handover to our Installations Manager. Also I love a first order from a new client!

What is your least favourite thing about working at ADC/JPF?

The Stress I put myself under! Every month starts on zero sales again!

Favourite/ any poignant ADC memories?

The time me and Lee Karpinski went to our first networking meeting….after the meeting a group came over to talk to us outside and I got the giggles, I had to walk away crying with laughter and leave Lee there struggling to keep his composure. Also at the Christmas party when Richard Parker admitted he sat next to me for the previous year as he was unsure if I could handle the responsibility of installation sales….he then admitted I could and was doing really well.

What has been the worst job you’ve ever had?

Burger King when I was in 6th form college. It was a harder graft than people would imagine!

On Saturdays you can find me:

At the Theatre of Broken Dreams that is Prenton Park or spending time doing something fun with my Wife and Daughter.

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

A footballer or in the Army!

Where do you see yourself in 10 years’ time?

A villa somewhere hot with a big yacht! J

What is your biggest accomplishment to date?

My beautiful little family and home.  Also very proud to have won the Shaftesbury Boys Football Club under 10’s Dance Competition 1997.

What is your guilty pleasure?

Disney films…I cannot wait to watch Frozen and sing along with my Daughter when she’s a bit bigger! (Shouldn’t really admit that).

If we gave you £50 what would you spend it on?

Lottery tickets and an Indian takeaway.

Do you have any hidden talents/ what are you secretly good at?

I have been known to blast out a karaoke tune or two in my time but other than that nothing special.

What are you REALLY bad at?

Timekeeping! Although it’s a great conversation starter with clients!

Describe yourself in 3 words…

Hardworking, Polite, Funny-ish.

Tell us something we don’t know about you/ tell us something people would be surprised to know about you…

I had 12 middleweight amateur boxing fights beating an unbeaten Welsh Champion during my late teens/early twenties.

If you could have one superpower what would it be?

Anything that could be conceived of to happen, or not, within my…realm, you know…then probably some sort of everlasting life.

Who should complete this next?

Wade Sword-Door Fabricator
