Wirral Borough Council
To supply, install and commission 2 powder coated electric solid lath roller shutters with canopies, operated via external key switches in lockable boxes.
Wirral council enlisted the services of ADC to help update and modernise the security shutters at Beechwood Library. The old concertina doors were both unappealing and impractical for use that aged the building. ADC proposed to install 2 new powder coated electric roller shutters to replace the dated concertina doors, with a modern, sleek design.
The new shutters were designed to be in keeping with the design of the library and surrounding buildings, creating a more appealing façade for the library. Our engineers removed and disposed of the old doors before replacing them with new shutters which not only upgraded the look of the library, but also improved security for the building.
Beechwood library is at the heart of the community so it was important that the new shutters improved on the facilities and that we were careful to ensure that the work carried out did not prevent people from suing the library. To prevent disruption, the ADC engineers installed the new shutters over a weekend when the library was closed to the public allowing them to install the new shutters in a timely manner to a high standard without disturbing the day to day activities of the library staff and the Wirral residents who use the facilities.
